Active Membership
Our Active Membership includes those looking to row competitively at both Grade and Masters level in State and National competition, as well as Recreational rowers looking to row on the Yarra without the pressure of competition. We welcome rowers of all abilities and skill level.

Active membership crews train multiple times a week across all boat classes from singles through to eights. Coaching is available to all members, with volunteer run squad and crew coaching, and peer led cross training
The rowing season
The competitive season commences with long distance head races for both Grade and Masters rowers from October through to December. Racing then moves into standard course distances of 1km and 2km from January until March, with Grade racing finalised at the State and National Championships. The Masters Season of 1km sprint races continues until May or June, culminating in the Masters State and Nationals Championships.
The social side
Yarra Yarra runs a range of social events throughout the year which all members are welcome to attend, including balcony BBQs, dinners, post regatta get togethers and awards presentations.
